We believe the Church is called to play an active role in our world’s most complex problems.

Our focus
DISASTER RESPONSE

We target regions that are extremely vulnerable to natural or man-made disasters but have limited capacity to cope.

COMMUNITY TRANSFORMATION

We work with local churches, so that they can empower their communities to escape poverty.

ADVOCACY

We challenge ourselves and our leaders to change attitudes, behaviors and policies that perpetuate injustice.

Keep the promise-Protect the poor from Climate Impacts

Those who have done the least cause climate change are suffering the most. Urge our leaders to keep the promises made to the poorest in our world and fund agriculture, irrigation and other projects to help communities adapt to climate change and become more resilient.

who we are

We are followers of Jesus going to the places of greatest need, responding to disasters, challenging injustice, and helping communities to see their own potential to overcome poverty.

our vision

800 Million people live in extreme poverty—this will not be so in God's Kingdom. Our vision is to see all people freed from poverty, living transformed lives and reaching their God-given potential.

Over five decades, we have gained valuable experience and expertise in both humanitarian and development contexts. We have seen vast numbers of communities transformed—people on the brink of disaster becoming resilient to shocks, self-sufficient and empowered, boldly speaking up for their rights.

We are committed to the Sustainable Development Goals because we believe that, together, we can end poverty in all its forms everywhere by 2030.
